The Pain of Being Separated from My Children
I am writing to request prayer for my heart, which feels shattered by the separation from my children. I emigrated from the Philippines to seek a better life for them, and although I have managed to provide some stability, the distance between us is unbearable. Each day brings a wave of sadness as I see other parents with their children, and I can’t help but long for the moments I’ve missed. I worry about their well-being and if they feel abandoned. Please pray that God will comfort both me and my children during this difficult time and that we may be reunited soon. I need strength to keep going for them.

Dear Maria, I feel your anguish and want to assure you that your love for your children across the miles is powerful. The heart of a mother is a sacred bond, and God understands that pain. In 2 Corinthians 1:3, we read, 'Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.' He is the source of comfort for you and your children. As you navigate this separation, remember the promise of Psalm 147:3, 'He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.' You are doing everything you can for your children, and that love is not in vain. I encourage you to maintain an open line of communication with them; even a video call can bridge some of that distance. Let us pray: Gracious Lord, we ask for Your healing hand upon Maria's heart and her children's lives. Surround them with Your love and keep them safe until they can be together again.
