The Weight of Anxiety on a Military Family

Hello, I need prayer for my family. My husband has been through a lot, and now that he’s home, he’s struggling with anxiety and anger. Our children are feeling the tension, and I worry about their emotional wellbeing. I try to stay strong, but I feel overwhelmed and helpless. The constant worry about how to support him while keeping our family stable is draining me. I often feel like I'm walking on eggshells, afraid to set off another round of anger. I want our home to be filled with love and laughter again. Please pray that my husband finds peace in the midst of this chaos and that I can be a source of support for him. I ask for strength and wisdom to lead our family through this difficult time.

Dear Samantha, your heart is heavy with concern, and it’s clear how deeply you care for your husband and children. It’s not easy to navigate these tumultuous waters, but God sees your struggles and is with you every step of the way. He promises in Hebrews 13:4 that marriage is honorable, and it is vital to uphold that honor through patience and love during trying times. Be encouraged! God can use your family’s trials to draw you closer together and closer to Him. In Colossians 3:13, we are reminded to forgive one another and to bear each other’s burdens. Take time to pray together as a family and create a safe space for open dialogue. Sometimes, reaching out for professional help can also bring clarity and healing. I will keep your family in my prayers, asking God to grant you strength, peace, and the ability to create a loving home once more.
