The Weight of Heartbreak and Loneliness

As a mother of two, navigating this divorce has left me feeling incredibly isolated. My children are my world, but without their father here, our family feels incomplete. The holidays were especially hard this year; I forced smiles for the kids, but inside, I felt crushed. I’m mourning not just my marriage but the family unit we once had. I often question my worth and struggle with feelings of failure and shame. I ask for prayer to help me find peace in my heart and to be a strong example for my children during this turbulent time.

Pastor Carlos Rivera

Women's Ministry Leader, Cornerstone Church

Dear Sophia, your heartache is palpable, and I want you to know that it’s okay to grieve. God knows your pain intimately, and in this season, remember that you are not defined by your marital status. Just as 1 Thessalonians 4:13 reassures us, we have hope even in our mourning. Your worth is not diminished by your circumstances. God has a purpose for you and your children. Lean on Him for strength, knowing that He is ever-present in your struggles (Psalm 46:1). Surround yourself with a supportive community; your family's love is more vital now than ever. I will be praying for you to find rest in His grace and to experience His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May you feel His embrace during this challenging time.
