Tired from Worrying About Paying the Bills
Hi, my name is Angela. I’m a single mom working two jobs to make ends meet, and despite my best efforts, I find myself constantly anxious about money. I earn a decent wage, but every month, as the bills pile up, I feel overwhelmed and fearful. I’m scared that an unexpected expense will come up that I won't be able to cover. I keep thinking about what would happen if I lost my job or if my car broke down. The fear of instability is consuming me, and I struggle to sleep at night. I want to trust that God will provide for my needs, but anxiety keeps creeping in. I ask for prayers to help me find peace and to trust in God's provision over my life.

Dear Angela, thank you for sharing your heart and your struggles with us. It’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed when financial pressures mount, particularly as a single mom. Remember that you are not alone; even in our struggles, God is our refuge and strength (Psalms 46:1). I encourage you to bring your worries before Him, for He tells us in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us. It is easy to feel like we have to manage everything ourselves, but God invites us to trust Him fully. Matthew 6:34 reminds us not to be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Focus on today and seek God’s kingdom first, as He will provide for you. Let’s pray together: "Heavenly Father, I lift Angela to You. Please ease her worries and fill her heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help her to trust in Your provision, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen."
