Tired Teacher Juggling Multiple Jobs to Survive
My name is Sarah, and I am a 35-year-old middle school teacher working multiple jobs just to make ends meet. My days are long, and I often find myself exhausted by the time I get home. I love teaching, but the pay is barely enough to support my family, and I’ve taken on evening and weekend jobs to cover our bills. I worry about the toll this is taking on my health and my family life. I feel like I’m missing out on precious moments with my kids. I find myself praying for strength and guidance, but some days it feels like the weight is too heavy to bear. In Matthew 6:33, we are reminded to 'seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.' Trust that as you put God first, He will provide for your needs. Remember that even in toil, God is with you; Psalm 37:4 says, 'Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.' It’s important to take moments for yourself and your family amidst the chaos. Ecclesiastes 9:11 teaches us that 'the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong,' reminding us that sometimes it’s about endurance and faith. I encourage you to carve out small pockets of time to reconnect with your children, as these moments will rejuvenate both you and them.
