Trusting God Amidst Our Farm’s Uncertain Future
My name is Lily, and I find myself in a situation I never imagined. My husband and I have poured our lives into our family farm, which has been a source of pride for generations. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we face dire financial implications that threaten our livelihood. I feel overwhelmed by fear and doubt, questioning whether we will be able to keep the farm afloat. I wish to remain hopeful, but it’s so difficult when the end seems so near. I ask for prayers for our family as we make hard decisions in the coming months. I long for guidance and the ability to trust in God’s plan even when it’s hard to see the way forward.

Dear Lily, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed when faced with such significant challenges. Remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Trusting in Him can be difficult, especially when circumstances seem bleak. However, I encourage you to hold onto the promise found in Matthew 6:33—that if you seek first His kingdom, all things will be added unto you. This is an invitation to cast your worries upon Him (1 Peter 5:7) and to seek His guidance in your decisions. I believe that God has a plan for your family and your farm, even if it’s not immediately clear. As you navigate this uncertain time, may you feel His peace envelop you, and may He lead you toward hope and restoration. I will be praying for your family, that you find strength in Him. Amen.
