Trusting God Through Separation and Fear
Dear God, I am struggling with debilitating separation anxiety as an adult. I feel lost and anxious whenever I have to be apart from the people I love. This anxiety grips me, making it difficult to engage in daily activities. I know that I should trust You, but my heart races with fear and doubt. I want to learn how to manage these feelings and find hope in the midst of this struggle. Please help me to focus on Your love and promises instead of my fears. Guide me in building the strength and resilience to face my anxiety with faith. I desire to feel Your peace and reassurances every day.

Dear James, it is brave of you to share your struggle with separation anxiety. God understands your feelings and wants to help you through this. In John 14:27, Jesus comforts us with these words: 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.' This peace is a gift from Him, and it's available to you during your struggles. Remember that you are not alone; God is always with you. As it says in Psalm 55:22, 'Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.' Let Him carry your anxieties. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, I lift James to You and pray that he feels Your peace and love surrounding him. Heal his heart from anxiety and help him to trust in Your everlasting presence. Amen.
