Trusting God with My Child's Safety
I'm a single mother, and lately, my heart has been gripped by an overwhelming fear for my child's safety. Every time I hear a siren or see a news report about violence, my mind races with worries that something could happen to my little one. I pray every night, but the anxiety feels like a heavy weight on my chest. I know I need to trust God with my child's life, but the fear is consuming me. I'm asking for prayers to help me let go of this anxiety, to find peace knowing that God watches over us, and to strengthen my faith so I can be a calm and reassuring presence for my child. Please pray that I can embrace the truth of Psalm 91:1, that God is our refuge and fortress.

Dear Laura, thank you for sharing your heartfelt prayer request. It’s completely understandable to feel anxious as a parent; your love for your child is deep and genuine. Remember, God invites us to cast all our cares upon Him. In 1 Peter 5:7, we read, 'Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.' He is not indifferent to our worries. You are not alone in this journey of motherhood, for He walks beside you. Isaiah 26:3 assures us, 'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.' As you focus on trusting God, allow His peace to wash over you. Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father, I lift Laura and her child up to You. May she find peace in trusting You for their safety. Amen.
