Trusting God with Tithing During Tough Times
My name is Lisa, and I am a single mother struggling to make ends meet. Every month, it feels like my expenses are piling up, and I often find myself anxious about being able to pay my bills. I know I should tithe, and it’s a principle that I want to uphold, but when money is so tight, it feels impossible. I pray for faith to trust that God will provide for my needs as I step out in obedience. I hope to find a way to honor Him even when my finances are stretched thin. Please pray that I can find peace and a clear path forward in my giving as I seek to grow in my faith during this difficult season.

Dear Lisa, thank you for sharing your heartfelt prayer request. I want to encourage you that God sees your struggles and desires to guide you through this challenging time. Remember, Philippians 4:19 tells us, 'But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.' Your desire to tithe, even in tight circumstances, is a reflection of your faith and trust in God. I encourage you to seek His wisdom in how to manage your finances. James 1:5 reminds us, 'If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.' May you find comfort in knowing that God honors your heart and your commitment to Him. As you step out in faith, remember Isaiah 40:31, 'But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.' Let’s pray: Lord, grant Lisa the strength and wisdom to navigate her finances, and may she experience Your provision and peace. Amen.
