Wisdom for Healing Hearts in Foster Care

🙏160 people praying
·Anonymous·April 8, 2026

Heavenly Father, I come to you with a heavy heart as I welcome two foster children into my home who have been through so much trauma. I feel the weight of their pain and the responsibility to help them heal. I seek wisdom in understanding their unique struggles and the right approach to provide comfort and security. It’s hard to know how to connect with them and to create a loving environment when they are so guarded. Please help me find the right words and actions that can speak love and acceptance into their hearts. I long to see them thrive and to experience joy again. Thank you for guiding our steps in this journey. In Your Name, I pray. Amen.

Missions Pastor, First Baptist Church

Dear Ethan, I admire your heart for fostering these children. It takes great courage and compassion to step into their world. As you seek wisdom to connect with them, remember Philippians 4:6-7, which assures us, 'Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.' Your prayers will guide you, and peace will follow as you trust in Him. Additionally, consider the significance of your role in these children’s lives. Ephesians 4:2 encourages us to be 'with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.' This is foundational as you build relationships with your foster children. Stay rooted in prayer, and know that God is equipping you for this beautiful, albeit challenging, calling. Let's pray for your journey: Lord, fill Ethan with your love and wisdom as he nurtures these children. Amen.
