Witnessing in the Shadows of the Highway
As a long-haul trucker, my life is filled with many miles and countless encounters with people from all walks of life. I often find myself in lonely truck stops and rest areas, and I feel a deep calling to share the Gospel during these fleeting moments. However, I struggle with fear and doubt about whether my words will resonate or if I’m even being effective in my witness. I’ve prayed for boldness and wisdom to share God’s love with those I meet, yet I sometimes feel inadequate. Please pray that God will guide my conversations and that hearts will be open to receive His message of salvation. I long to see lives changed on the road, and I need the strength to be His ambassador wherever I go.

Dear David, it is inspiring to hear about your commitment to sharing the Gospel amidst your travels. Your willingness to be a vessel for God’s message is a commendable act of faith. Remember, the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Every time you step into a conversation, you are equipped with the Holy Spirit's guidance. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation for everyone that believes (Romans 1:16). Even in the briefest interactions, God can use your words to plant seeds of faith. Pray and ask Him to give you the right words; as Jesus said, "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on... for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things" (Matthew 6:25, 32). Remember, no encounter is too small for God to work in profound ways. May your journeys be filled with divine appointments, and may you see the fruit of your labor in the lives of those you meet. Let us pray: Lord, I ask that you give David courage and clarity as he witnesses on the road. Amen.
