Worried About Losing Everything We’ve Built

The fear of losing our home looms over me every day. My husband and I have worked so hard to build a life for our kids, but recent setbacks have left us struggling to keep up with mortgage payments. The thought of foreclosure terrifies me, and I can’t shake the feeling that I’m failing as a provider. My children ask about our home and why things have changed, and it breaks my heart. I find it hard to remain hopeful when the future looks so uncertain. I’m reaching out for prayer, asking for guidance, strength, and a miracle that will help us hold on to our home and provide for our family.

Dear Angela, your feelings of fear and loss are understandable, especially when you care deeply for your family's well-being. It’s difficult to witness our dreams on shaky ground, but take heart in knowing that God has a plan for you. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' Even in the face of uncertainty, God is with you, guiding your steps. I encourage you to lean into your faith, trusting that He is working on your behalf, even when you cannot see it. James 1:5 reminds us that if we lack wisdom, we should ask God, who generously provides. Seek guidance, explore your options, and stand firm in prayer. I will pray for you and your family, asking God to provide for your needs and help you find a path forward. Lord, I ask that you bless Angela and her family with hope, direction, and the means to secure their home. Amen.
