Wrestling with Isolation During My Travels
My name is Maria, a 34-year-old missionary who often travels for work. While I love the work I do, every time I travel alone, I experience debilitating separation anxiety. It’s as if my mind becomes a prison, filled with fears of abandonment and insecurity. I find myself worrying about how far away I am from my loved ones and whether I’ll be okay on my own. Each trip feels daunting, and I dread the emotional toll it takes on me. I wish to feel secure and confident, trusting that God is with me wherever I go. I ask for prayer that I may experience God’s constant presence, overcoming this anxiety and feeling embraced by His love.

I want to remind you of Psalm 91:1, which states, 'He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.' Even when you’re miles away, God is with you, providing shelter and comfort. It's crucial to remember that He goes before you and surrounds you with His peace (Isaiah 41:10). I encourage you to take a moment before each journey to pray, inviting God's presence into your travels. Lamentations 3:23 reminds us that His mercies are new every morning, providing you with fresh strength and courage each day. I will pray that you find God’s embrace and low anxiety when you are away from home, trusting in His guidance and love.
