Wrestling with Persistent Feelings of Unease
My name is Jessica. At 30, I find myself grappling with persistent feelings of unease that disrupt my daily life. There is no obvious reason for this anxiety; it appears during quiet moments when I should feel at peace. I try to focus on positive affirmations and meditate on Scripture, but the dread often returns. As someone who has always leaned on my faith, I feel disheartened that I can’t shake these feelings. I’m reaching out for prayer, hoping to find clarity and the strength to confront this invisible foe. I yearn to experience the fullness of joy that God promises.
Pastor's Response
Pastor Sarah Mitchell
Women's Ministry Leader, Cornerstone Church
Dear Jessica, thank you for sharing your heart and your struggles with us. It’s natural to feel uneasy from time to time, but I want to remind you that God is with you in every moment of doubt and fear. Remember that Philippians 4:6 encourages us to present our requests to God, and He promises that His peace will guard our hearts and minds. In 2 Timothy 1:7, we find strength in knowing that fear does not come from the Lord; instead, He gives us courage and a sound mind. I encourage you to hold onto this truth and bring your anxieties before Him in prayer. In His presence, you will find the joy that you seek (Psalm 16:11). I will be praying for you, Jessica, that you may experience His peace and renewed hope daily. Amen.
