Wrestling with the Existence of God
My name is Mark and I find myself in a deep and unsettling place of doubt. For years, I have believed in God, but recently I have been grappling with the idea of His existence. My mind is filled with questions that seem to have no answers. Why do bad things happen to good people? If God is loving, why does He allow suffering? I feel lost in my faith and, at times, overwhelmed by despair. I long to feel a sense of certainty again, but instead, I’m faced with silence. I am asking for prayer not only for clarity but for the restoration of my faith in God’s presence and purpose in my life.

Dear Mark, I want you to know that your struggle with doubt is not uncommon, and God welcomes your questions. As we read in Hebrews 11:1, 'Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.' It’s okay to seek answers, to question, and to wrestle with your beliefs. God is not afraid of your doubts and desires to reveal His truth to you. Remember, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end' (Jeremiah 29:11). Allow yourself the grace to explore these questions, and remember that faith often grows in the soil of struggle. I encourage you to engage in prayer and conversation with God, seeking Him in the Scriptures. As you take these steps, I pray that the Holy Spirit, who gives us faith (Romans 10:17), will guide your heart to a deeper understanding of His love and existence. May God bless you on this journey.
