Yearning for Light Amid the Shadows of Depression
Dear friends, I’m reaching out because I’ve been wrestling with deep clinical depression for far too long. There are days when I feel completely engulfed by darkness, and it seems like I’m in a tunnel with no way out. I find myself questioning where God is in all of this; I want to feel His presence, but it often feels distant. I long for days when I can wake up with hope in my heart and a smile on my face. I pray for healing, for the strength to push through this pain, and for the ability to feel God’s love surrounding me. Please pray that I find peace and joy once again.

Dear Jessica, thank you for sharing your heart so openly. I want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle, and your pain is seen and felt. The Lord promises us in Jeremiah 30:17, 'For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds.' Remember, even in your darkest moments, God is present. Psalm 147:3 reminds us, 'He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.' It is natural to feel distant from God when battling depression, but it's vital to keep seeking Him. Philippians 4:6 encourages us not to be anxious but to present our requests to God in prayer. Know that we are here for you, praying alongside you. I encourage you to reach out to trusted friends or a counselor who can walk with you through this season. Let’s pray together for renewed hope and peace in your heart.
