Yearning for My Spouse's Spiritual Awakening
Dear Pastor Samuel, my heart is heavy as I write this. My husband, whom I love dearly, does not share my faith in Christ. I often feel like I’m walking through a desert, spiritually alone even when we’re together. I pray for him daily, hoping that he will come to know Jesus as his Savior, but the weight of his unbelief is a burden I carry alone. I feel isolated in my faith journey, and I long to share that part of my life with him. Please pray that God touches his heart and opens his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. I need strength to remain faithful and loving during this trial.

Dear Emily, thank you for sharing your heart with me. It can be incredibly challenging to walk alongside a spouse who doesn’t share your faith, and feelings of loneliness can creep in. Remember, you are not alone; God is with you always. In 1 Corinthians 7:14, we are reminded that the unbelieving spouse is sanctified through the believing spouse. Your faithfulness can have a profound impact on your husband’s spiritual journey. I encourage you to continue praying earnestly for him, as James 5:16 tells us, 'The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.' Keep showing him love, as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4, which says love is patient and kind. Your actions may speak louder than words. I will pray for God to soften your husband's heart and to provide you with the strength and patience you need. May you experience His peace as you wait on Him. God bless you.
