Yearning for Stability After Job Termination
I was unexpectedly terminated from my job two months ago, and as a 57-year-old, it feels like the world has shifted beneath me. I’m battling feelings of inadequacy and fear about my finances. My mortgage is due soon, and I’m worried I might lose my home. I’ve been seeking jobs, but it’s discouraging when I don’t receive callbacks. Please pray that I find the right opportunity and regain my footing. I need encouragement and a sense of purpose to move forward.

Dear Susan, thank you for sharing your heart with me. It's completely understandable to feel lost at times like these. Remember that God has a plan for you, even when it seems uncertain. In Deuteronomy 8:18, we are reminded that our abilities come from God, who empowers us to create wealth. Trust that He will guide you toward the right opportunities. Philippians 4:19 reassures us that our needs will be met, and God wants you to lean on Him in this season of uncertainty. Don’t forget to ask for wisdom during this time. James 1:5 reminds us that if we ask, God will give us wisdom generously.
