Yearning for Support in Caregiving Trials
I am currently caring for my disabled spouse, and it feels like an isolating journey. Though I love them dearly, the weight of caregiving is exhausting and overwhelming. I often find myself battling feelings of loneliness, and anxiety consumes me when I think about the future. I deeply desire support but don’t know how to find it. I pray for the strength to continue, for comfort in my loneliness, and for the courage to reach out for help. Please pray that I can find a community of support and the peace to face each day.

Senior Pastor, Bethel Church
Dear Marcus, your commitment to your spouse is a beautiful reflection of love and devotion. It’s completely understandable to feel lonely and anxious in such a demanding role. Know that God sees your struggles and has not left you alone. In Romans 8:15, we are reminded that we have received the Spirit of adoption, which assures us we are children of God and part of a greater family. Reach out to your church community or local support groups; there are others who share your experience and can provide the connection you need. Psalm 34:18 tells us, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' God is near to you during this challenging time. I will pray that you find comfort in His presence and that opportunities for support arise, bringing you the strength and hope needed to continue this journey.
