Youth Coach Seeking to Spread the Gospel
I’m a youth football coach and I feel a heavy burden for the boys on my team who come from difficult backgrounds. Many of them are searching for belonging and identity, and I believe that Jesus can provide that for them. I pray for opportunities to share the Gospel in ways that they will understand and accept. Please pray that I can demonstrate Christ-like love through my coaching, and that God would open my eyes to their needs and how best to reach them. I want my actions to reflect His grace and mercy, and to be a safe space for these young men to explore faith. I’m also seeking wisdom on how to incorporate biblical truths into our team culture. I’m committed to making a lasting impact on their lives, for His glory.

Hi Jamal, your commitment to your team and their spiritual growth is commendable. It’s clear that God is using you as a vessel of His love in the lives of these young men. Remember that each moment you spend with them can be an opportunity to reflect Christ’s light. As it says in Romans 3:23, 'For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.' This truth can connect with them, helping them understand their need for a Savior. Your role can also bring joy to heaven, as we see in Luke 15:7, reminding us of the importance of every soul. Trust that God will give you the right words at the right times, as you rely on His Spirit (Ephesians 2:9). Let’s pray together: Father, guide Jamal in his coaching. Provide him with wisdom and boldness to share the Good News, and may he build strong relationships that lead to salvation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
