A Decade of Separation: Family Reunion Joy
After ten long years apart, my family is finally coming together for a reunion. Life has taken us in different directions, and we’ve missed so many milestones over the years. I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to see my siblings and their families once again. As I prepare to welcome them, I feel a mix of excitement and anxiety. I pray that this gathering will heal old wounds and strengthen our bonds. I ask for prayers that we embrace each other with love, understanding, and a spirit of forgiveness. May God’s presence fill our hearts and home as we rejoice together.

Dear Emily, what a joyous occasion you are anticipating! I rejoice with you in the beauty of family reunions, especially one that has been long awaited. Remember, as you prepare for this gathering, to lift your praise to the Lord: 'I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works' (Psalms 9:1). It's a wonderful thing to bring everyone together after such a time apart. In these moments, God can mend broken relationships and restore the joy of family. Philippians 4:4 encourages us to 'Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.' I encourage you to create an atmosphere of gratitude and joy, reflecting on the blessings you have in each other. As you come together, may your hearts be open to the love and healing that only God can provide. I will pray for you and your family, asking that God’s grace be evident in every conversation and hug. May the spirit of unity and love abound at your reunion. Amen.
