A Mother's Heart for Her Son's Recovery
My son returned home from service and is struggling with the weight of his experiences. As a mother, it breaks my heart to see him in pain. He often isolates himself, and I fear he is sinking deeper into despair. He used to be so full of life, and now I see a shadow of that joy. I’m praying for his recovery and for the courage to reach out to him. I’m asking for prayer that he finds the strength to share his struggles and that he feels God’s presence in his life. My desire is for him to know he is not alone, both in his battle with PTSD and with me as his mother, ready to walk with him on this journey.

Grief and Healing Ministry
Dear Linda, your heartache as a mother is palpable, and I want to assure you that God is with both you and your son during this time. In Psalm 127:3, we are reminded, 'Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.' Your love and concern for your son reflect that heritage. Encourage him gently to express his feelings, and let him know it’s okay to lean on you and the Lord for support. 1 Corinthians 13:4 teaches us that love is patient and kind, qualities that will serve you well as you support him. In this process, remind him of God’s promise in Isaiah 41:10: 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee.' I will pray for healing for your son and for open lines of communication so that he may feel safe enough to share his burdens with you. God bless you both during this journey. Amen.
