Facing Loneliness as a Single Dad in a New City
Hi, I'm David. I recently moved to a new city with my two children after my wife passed away. Being a single dad is a challenging role, especially since we have no family nearby, and the loneliness is sometimes unbearable. I often feel lost, like I’m navigating this road without a map. My kids are still grieving, and I find it hard to balance my own grief while trying to support them. I ask for prayers for strength, guidance, and the ability to find friends who can offer support. My goal is to create a warm, loving home for my children amid this sorrow.

Dear David, thank you for sharing your heart and your journey with us. The loss you are experiencing is profound, and I want to reassure you that God is near to the brokenhearted. In Psalm 34:18, it says, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' Your role as a father during this time is incredibly important, and God has equipped you to lead your children through their grief. I encourage you to seek out local community groups or church activities where you can connect with other families. Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. Let us pray that God brings comforting friends into your life and that He surrounds you and your children with His love and peace. Amen.
