Finding Belonging as an Isolated Retiree
Hi, I’m Ruth, a retiree who has recently moved into an independent living community. I had a rich life of fellowship at my church before the move, but I now find it challenging to connect with others who share my faith. I feel isolated and miss the joy of praying and worshipping together with friends. Life can feel lonely, and I yearn for deeper connections with like-minded believers. Please pray that I am able to find a small Bible study group or ladies’ prayer group where I can build relationships and grow in my faith. It’s important for my spirit to have this fellowship again, and I trust God will provide. Thank you for your prayers!

Marriage and Family Ministry, Hope Fellowship
Dear Ruth, thank you for sharing your journey with us. It’s wonderful to hear about your desire for fellowship, especially during this new season of your life. God has a purpose for you in this community. You are not alone, and He is with you! Hebrews 11:1 speaks to the hope we can hold on to, and He will guide you to those who share your faith. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the activities offered in your community; sometimes the right opportunities come when we least expect them. Philippians 1:6 assures us that God will complete the good work He has started in your life. I will pray for your heart's desire to be fulfilled and for you to find the right connections. Lord, please lead Ruth to the community she seeks, where she can flourish in faith. Amen.
