Finding Faith During Academic Challenges
My name is Rebecca, and I’m a first-generation college student. I’ve been feeling an overwhelming sense of anxiety about my classes and exams. As someone who didn’t have the guidance of a family member who went to college, I feel lost and often question my ability to succeed. I worry constantly about disappointing my family and feel suffocated by the expectations placed on me. I really need prayer for clarity and peace in my mind and heart. I want to trust that God has a plan for me, but it’s hard to see it right now. Please pray that I can find the strength to manage my stress and focus on my studies.

Dear Rebecca, thank you for your honesty in expressing your struggles. It's truly difficult to feel the weight of expectations, but please remember you are not defined by your fears. God has plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you (Jeremiah 29:11). In moments of anxiety, I encourage you to lean on Him, for He invites us to cast our burdens on Him (Psalm 55:22). You have the ability to overcome these challenges, and God is your strength. Trust in Him as you navigate your studies. His peace will guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, I lift Rebecca up to you. Surround her with Your peace and guide her through her studies. Amen.
