Finding Hope After Pension Disruption
I’m Edward, a 62-year-old man who has worked at the same firm for over 30 years. Recently, I received the shocking news that our company pension was dissolved, leaving me without the security I had planned for my retirement. This has created a lot of stress and worry for my family, as we relied heavily on that income to support our lifestyle. I’m praying for hope and guidance as I search for alternative retirement plans and ways to support my family. I ask for prayers to help me regain a sense of security and trust in God’s provision during this difficult time.

Dear Edward, I can only imagine the feelings of uncertainty you must be experiencing after such news. It’s never easy to face disruptions in our plans, especially those tied to our hard work over many years. But take heart, for God is our provider. 'But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus' (Philippians 4:19). Trusting in His goodness can bring you peace amidst turmoil. I encourage you to explore other avenues of income and remain engaged in your community; you may find support and guidance that you didn't expect. Remember, 'Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established' (Proverbs 16:3). Let’s pray: Lord, we ask for wisdom and peace for Edward during this uncertain time. Amen.
