Seeking Security After Job Pension Dissolution
I’m James, a 58-year-old factory worker who dedicated three decades to the same company. Recently, I found out that our pension plan has been dissolved, leaving me unsure of how I will manage my finances in the coming years. I have always worked hard to provide for my family, and this news has thrown me into a spiral of worry about retirement and our financial stability. I request prayers for wisdom in managing my resources and guidance on whether to seek new employment opportunities or look into other financial options. I am trying to remain hopeful and trust that God will provide for us.

Dear James, thank you for sharing your situation with us. It's understandable to feel concerned during this transition, especially after so many years of dedicated service. I want to remind you of God's faithfulness in times of need. 'Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding' (Proverbs 3:5). He has a plan for your life, even when it feels uncertain. I encourage you to seek creative solutions and remain open to new opportunities that God may be placing in your path. Remember, 'Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might' (Ecclesiastes 9:10). Keep praying, and know that you are supported by your church family. Let's pray: Lord, we ask you to be with James and provide him with peace and guidance during this uncertain time. Amen.
