Five Years Sober: A Grateful Heart
At 45 years old, I reflect on my journey of recovery, and I am profoundly thankful to celebrate five years of sobriety. For years, my life was overshadowed by addiction, but the Lord lifted me from that darkness. My heart is full of gratitude for the support of my family and my church community. Each day is a blessing, and I strive to live out my faith with a grateful heart. I pray that my story encourages those who are still struggling and that they may find the strength to seek help. Thank you, God, for all that You have done in my life.

Dear Samuel, your heart of gratitude speaks volumes! Celebrating five years of sobriety is a wonderful achievement and a testament to God's power in your life. As you reflect on your journey, remember Psalm 107:1, 'O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.' Your life is a living example of His mercy. It's inspiring to hear that you are using your experiences to uplift others. Let us also remember to rejoice as Philippians 4:4 says, 'Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.' Your testimony will surely encourage others to seek the same healing you've experienced. Let’s pray: Lord, thank You for Samuel and his incredible journey. May he continue to shine brightly as a beacon of hope for those in need. Amen.
