Lonely Struggles as a Single Parent with a Disability

My name is David, and I am a 34-year-old single dad. I have a disability that prevents me from holding a steady job, which has made balancing parenting and finances incredibly challenging. My days are filled with worry about how I will pay the rent and provide for my young daughter. I often feel very isolated, as most of my friends and family don't understand what I'm going through. I long for companionship and support, but my situation feels so heavy that I struggle to ask for help. Please pray for my heart to find peace and for the resources I need to care for my daughter. I desperately seek God’s guidance in this season of life.

Dear David, I want to first commend you for your courage in sharing your story. It takes strength to reach out for support when you're feeling overwhelmed. God understands your loneliness and your challenges. He is a father to the fatherless, and you can rest assured that He is very much present in your situation. Psalm 68:5 reminds us, 'A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.' You are not alone. As you navigate these difficult times, remember what 2 Corinthians 12:9 teaches us – 'My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.' God can and will provide what you need, even when it seems impossible. I will pray for you, that you may find a community that understands your struggles and that God opens doors for financial provision. May you feel His love and support surrounding you as you care for your daughter.
