My heart is heavy as I write this. My service dog, who has been my lifeline for years, passed away unexpectedly last week. I am struggling to cope with this loss, as he helped me navigate my daily life with his unwavering support and companionship. Without him, I feel lost and functionally disabled again. I am overwhelmed with grief, and it’s hard to find the strength to face each day. I miss his comforting presence and the joy he brought into my life. Please pray for me as I seek healing from this profound loss and as I try to find a way to move forward without my beloved friend.

Dear Emily, I can only imagine the depth of your sorrow right now. Your service dog was not just a pet; he was a companion who carried you through tough times. In times of grief, it’s important to remember that we have a loving Father who cares for our broken hearts. Psalms 34:18 reminds us that 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' God sees your pain, and He is with you during this difficult time. Allow yourself to grieve this loss fully. John 11:25 tells us that Jesus said, 'I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.' Remember that there is hope beyond this moment of grief. As you navigate this journey, lean on your community and seek support. God will bring forth new beginnings, even from this heartache. I am praying for peace to envelop you and for God to guide you in finding a new path forward. May His comfort be your refuge during this time.
