Overcoming Anxiety About Financial Future
I’m a 23-year-old college student who is constantly anxious about money, even though I have a part-time job and scholarships covering my tuition. I worry about future expenses, like rent and bills after graduation. This anxiety often distracts me from focusing on my studies and enjoying my college experience. I’m reaching out for prayers that I might find peace and learn to trust God’s plan for my financial future.

Dear Sophie, thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. It’s so important to address these feelings, especially during this pivotal time in your life. Remember that 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us. Trusting in God’s plan can be challenging, but it also brings about His peace. Philippians 4:6 reminds us to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. As you navigate your college journey, hold onto the truth found in Isaiah 26:3, which assures us that God will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in Him. Let’s pray: Lord, I lift up Sophie to You. Help her to find peace amidst her worries about the future, granting her a steadfast spirit and trust in Your provision. May she experience Your guiding presence in her life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
