Praying for Comfort After Medical Trauma
My name is Jessica, and I am requesting prayer to overcome the anxiety and fear that arose after a traumatic experience in the hospital. I went in for a routine procedure, but it quickly escalated and left me feeling shaken and fearful of medical environments. Now, I constantly replay the experience in my mind, and it feels like I can't breathe when I think about going back to a doctor. I miss the days when I felt free from anxiety. I am reaching out for prayer that I might find comfort in God’s presence and learn to manage these feelings so that they don’t rule my life. I am hoping for a breakthrough and the ability to trust again.

Dear Jessica, I want to encourage you in your journey towards healing. It’s understandable to feel anxious after such a traumatic experience. The Bible assures us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). I encourage you to seek comfort in prayer and meditation on His Word. God invites us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Remember, perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Allow God’s love to fill you and drive away any fear you are experiencing. You are not alone in this. Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father, we lift Jessica up to You, asking for Your comforting presence to surround her, bringing her peace and healing. In Jesus' name, Amen.
