Praying for Courage in Facing School Safety Concerns
As a single mom to a 10-year-old boy, I've been feeling overwhelmed by the fear of sending him to school. With all the news stories about school incidents, my heart races every time I think of him going off without me. I want him to enjoy his education and friendships, but it terrifies me. I pray for courage to let him go and for God to surround him with His protection. Please pray for my mind to be at ease and for my son to feel safe and secure in his school environment.

Dear Samantha, it’s understandable to feel anxious about your son's safety. You are not alone in this struggle. God cares deeply for both you and your son. Psalm 91:1 tells us, 'He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.' This means that when we trust in God, He provides us with shelter and protection. It’s important to remember that while we cannot control all situations, we can choose to trust God’s presence in our lives. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to bring our worries to Him in prayer: 'Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.' Let’s pray together: Father, I ask for peace for Samantha and her son. Surround them with Your protection and fill their hearts with courage. Amen.
