Praying for Fair Treatment at Work
I am a 33-year-old Middle Eastern woman who has faced significant racial discrimination in my workplace. I feel constantly judged and misunderstood by my colleagues, which has created an unwelcoming environment. It's draining, and I sometimes find it hard to motivate myself to go to work. I need prayers for strength, resilience, and clarity on how to address these issues. I hope to be able to stand firmly against racism while also maintaining my peace of mind. I am asking for prayers for my colleagues to see me for who I am and to love and respect me for my skills and contributions.

Dear Fatima, thank you for reaching out and sharing your experiences. It can be incredibly disheartening to face racial discrimination at work, especially when it impacts your day-to-day motivation. Remember, God knows the struggles you are facing and is your refuge. "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). Turn to Him for strength and courage as you navigate these challenges. As you continue to serve faithfully, trust in God’s promise that "If ye be faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things" (Matthew 25:21). Your efforts are seen and valued by Him. I will pray for your resilience and for opportunities to arise that affirm your worth. May God surround you with His love and protection as you continue to shine your light in the workplace.
