Yearning for Peace as My Spouse Struggles with Addiction
I am Sarah, and I need prayer for my marriage. My husband has been battling addiction for years, and I am exhausted from the emotional rollercoaster. Just when I think he’s made progress, he falls back into old habits. Our children see the chaos, and I am deeply concerned for their emotional well-being. I feel like I am carrying this burden alone and don’t know how to keep it together. I want to be a loving wife, but I also need to protect our kids. I’m praying for wisdom, guidance, and for my husband to fully surrender his addiction to God.

Please remember that God sees your pain and desires to bring you peace. ‘In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths’ (Proverbs 3:6). Your role as a loving mother and a supportive wife is crucial. It’s important to establish healthy boundaries for the sake of your children. ‘Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church’ (Ephesians 5:25). Your husband's journey is his own, but with your steadfast love and God’s grace, healing is possible. Let us pray together: Lord, I lift up Sarah and her family to You. Grant her the strength she needs to support her husband and protect her children. Bring healing to her husband’s heart and deliver him from addiction. Amen.
