A Doctor's Concern for a Patient Struggling with Long COVID
As a physician, I have been witnessing the ongoing effects of long COVID in many of my patients, including one particular individual who has become a dear friend. Months after her initial infection, she is still battling debilitating fatigue and memory issues. I feel a deep sense of responsibility to help her, but I am also emotionally affected by her struggle. I am asking for prayer, not just for her healing, but also for wisdom in guiding her treatment. Please pray that God gives me the insight to help her find hope and healing during this difficult time.

Dear Dr. James, your compassion for your patients speaks volumes about your character and calling as a physician. It’s natural to feel the weight of responsibility for those you care for, especially a friend who is suffering. Remember that you are not alone in this journey. In 1 Peter 5:7, we are encouraged to "Cast all your care upon him; for he careth for you." Trust that God is with you as you seek wisdom in your patient’s treatment. Also, lean on Philippians 4:6, which reminds us not to be anxious about anything, but to pray about everything. God will provide the understanding and direction you need. Lastly, let’s take comfort in Romans 8:28, which assures us that "all things work together for good to them that love God." As you pray for your friend, know that healing is in God’s hands. Let’s pray together: Lord, grant Dr. James the wisdom and insight to help his patient. Bring healing and hope to both of them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
