A Young Adult's Battle with Fear and Insomnia
As a 22-year-old college student, I have been struggling with anxiety-driven insomnia for the past couple of years. The pressure of exams, future job prospects, and social interactions keep me awake at night, replaying every moment in my mind. The fatigue is affecting my studies and my relationships, making life feel overwhelming. I often feel isolated in my fight against these fears and long for God’s peace to flood my heart. I am asking for prayers that He would calm my racing thoughts and grant me restful nights, so I can focus on my studies and enjoy life again.

Dear David, thank you for sharing your prayer request. It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed during such a transitional period in your life. I want to remind you that God is near to those who are anxious. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to present our worries to God and in return, He grants us peace beyond understanding. In 1 Peter 5:7, He tells us to cast our cares upon Him because He genuinely cares for us. You are not alone in your struggle, and God promises to be with you. Remember, He assures us in Isaiah 41:10, 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee.' David, as you bring your fears to God, may He replace them with His peace and rest. Let’s pray: Father, please grant David the restful nights he seeks and the strength to face his challenges. Amen.
