A Young Woman's Battle Against Chronic Pain
My name is Lisa, and I am a 29-year-old battling severe joint pain that has left me unable to participate in the life I love. I work as a nurse and found great joy in helping others, but my condition has limited my mobility significantly. I struggle daily with the frustration of not being able to serve my patients and feel as though I am failing at my vocation. I often feel alone and desperate for relief. I pray for healing, not just physically but also emotionally, as I try to cope with this new reality. I long for the day I can fully return to my calling and be the person I used to be.

Dear Lisa, your heart for your vocation and your desire to help others is truly inspiring. It’s understandable to feel frustrated and alone in this struggle, but I want to remind you that you are never truly alone. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus invites us, 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' He knows your pain and your longing to serve. Remember that even in this season of waiting, God is working behind the scenes. Romans 8:28 assures us, 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.' Your pain, while difficult, is not wasted; it can equip you to minister to others who suffer. I pray that God will grant you healing and relieve your pain, giving you the strength to continue your important work. Trust in His timing and His goodness. May you feel His presence with you in these troubled times.
