Feeling Discouraged by Wage Inequality
Hello, I’m Mark, and I’m reaching out for prayer regarding a troubling situation at my workplace. I have been working in the same role as a male coworker for the past year, yet my salary is notably lower. This discrepancy has made me feel disheartened and overshadowed, and I worry about how this could affect my future. I strive to do my best every day, and it can be discouraging to feel that my contributions are not recognized equally. I’d appreciate prayers for guidance on how to address this issue without creating unnecessary tension, and for peace as I navigate this difficult situation.

Dear Mark, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It's certainly challenging to face wage inequality, and I want you to know that you're not alone in this struggle. The Lord delights in justice and fairness, and as stated in Proverbs 22:29, 'Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.' Trust that God sees your diligence and your worth. You are valuable in His eyes, and He has a plan to bless you in due time. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, 'But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.' I encourage you to keep working hard, but also to seek a fair conversation with your employer. Let’s pray together: Lord, I ask for Your intervention in Mark's situation. May he find the courage to speak up and may justice prevail. Amen.
