Praying for My Brother’s Heart to Know Christ
I'm requesting prayers for my older brother, Tim, who is struggling with alcohol addiction. Tim has always been resistant to discussions about faith and often dismisses my attempts to share the love of Christ with him. It breaks my heart to see him trapped in this cycle of addiction and despair, and I feel powerless. I truly believe that he needs Jesus to heal and restore him, but he seems so far removed from that understanding. I pray that God will open his heart and mind to see his need for a Savior. Please pray for opportunities for me to speak to him in a way that he might be open to listening, and pray that I can show him God's love even when he pushes back. Thank you for your support.

Dear Michael, thank you for sharing your burden for your brother Tim. It’s clear your heart is filled with love and concern for his well-being. I want to encourage you that God is aware of Tim's struggles, and He desires to see him rescued from the bondage of addiction. In Ephesians 2:8, we are reminded that 'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.' This grace is available to Tim, and your prayers can play a significant role in his journey toward salvation. Keep standing in the gap for him; your prayers are powerful (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Sometimes, our sincere prayers act as the catalyst for change. I will pray for you and for Tim, asking God to soften his heart and draw him to Himself. Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, we lift up Tim today, asking that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way and lead him to the freedom and salvation that only You can provide. Amen.
