Seeking Assurance While Leading My Small Group
As I lead my small group, I often feel an overwhelming sense of doubt. I worry about whether I'm leading them in the right direction. Am I providing enough support for their spiritual growth? I find myself constantly comparing my abilities to those of more experienced leaders. Please pray that I find my assurance in Christ, who equips us for every good work. I long to create a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing, but my fears often hold me back. I need God's wisdom and grace to overcome these feelings of inadequacy and to lead boldly.

Dear Marcus, it’s clear that your heart is in the right place for your small group. Your concerns show your desire for genuine connection and growth among your members. Remember, 'God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind' (2 Timothy 1:7). Your faith journey is unique, and God uses every part of it to teach others. As you trust in Him, know that 'with God all things are possible' (Matthew 19:26). Lean into His strength and allow Him to lead you through these moments of doubt. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, grant Marcus the assurance and confidence he seeks in leading his group. May he feel Your presence guiding him every step of the way. Amen.
