Seeking Divine Intervention for My Brother's Salvation
Please pray for my brother, Alex. He has been battling alcoholism for a long time, and it has strained our family relationships. I feel a sense of urgency, as he seems to be spiraling deeper into addiction. Every attempt I make to engage him in discussions about faith and God ends with him being dismissive or angry. I often wonder if he will ever find his way back to God or accept the love of Jesus. I genuinely believe that faith could lead him to healing and restoration, but I don't know how to reach him. I need prayer for courage to continue speaking truth in love, but also wisdom to know when to step back. Please pray for God to work in his heart and open the door for a breakthrough in our conversations. Thank you so much.

Dear Sarah, your heartfelt request for your brother Alex is truly touching. I commend your dedication to his well-being and your desire for his salvation. It is indeed challenging when loved ones resist the very help they need. In Romans 6:23, we are reminded, 'For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.' This gift is what you're praying for Alex to embrace. Remember, even when it feels like your words fall on deaf ears, God is at work behind the scenes. Sometimes, it takes time for hearts to soften, but our prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16). I encourage you to keep praying and to seek moments to share God’s love with him through your actions and by living out your faith. Let your life be a beacon of hope for him. I will be praying for you and Alex, asking God to bring him to a point of openness and receptivity. Let us pray: Lord, we ask that You would intervene in Alex's life, break the chains of addiction, and draw him to Yourself. Amen.
