Struggling with FOMO and Anxiety
I am a college student, and lately, I've been feeling overwhelming anxiety due to fear of missing out (FOMO). Every time I see my friends hanging out or going to events without me, it sends me into a spiral of self-doubt and loneliness. I feel like I’m missing out on experiences that will shape my life and friendships. This constant fear makes it hard for me to focus on my studies, and I find myself feeling more isolated. I'm struggling to balance my feelings and desires with my responsibilities. Please pray that I find peace and contentment in my current situation and help me to remember that my worth is not determined by being included in everything.

Dear Jason, I understand how difficult it can be to navigate life in such a connected world, where social media often highlights what we are missing. It’s important to remember that you are exactly where God wants you to be right now. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." You’re in a season of growth and learning, which is just as meaningful as any social event. It’s perfectly okay to say ‘no’ sometimes, allowing you to focus on your studies and personal growth. As you feel the weight of isolation, remember that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalms 34:18) and He is with you in your loneliness. I pray that you experience His peace and comfort as you seek to prioritize what truly matters. Let's pray: Lord, give Jason the assurance that he is never alone in You. Help him to find fulfillment in his studies and surround him with the right friendships. In Jesus' name, Amen.
