Transforming Faith from Head to Heart
My name is David, and I’m a 45-year-old church leader. For years, I’ve been rooted in faith through the study of scripture and church involvement. However, lately, I’ve sensed a disconnect; my understanding feels more academic than relational. I yearn for a deeper connection with God that transforms my heart and not just my mind. I want to feel the joy and peace of His Spirit in every aspect of my life, especially as I lead others. Please pray that God would renew my spirit and draw me closer to Him in a way that is deeply transformative.
Pastor's Response

Associate Pastor, Covenant Presbyterian Church
Dear David, I appreciate your openness in sharing this struggle. It’s a common challenge for those in leadership, and your desire for genuine connection with God is commendable. The Lord desires for us to know Him intimately, and He assures us in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has plans for us—to give us a future filled with hope. Take heart, as you seek Him earnestly, He will reveal Himself to you. In Romans 8:38, we are reminded that nothing can separate us from His love, which is the foundation of authentic faith. Consider diving deeper into prayer and inviting the Holy Spirit to refresh you. Let's pray: Lord Jesus, I lift up David and ask for a new outpouring of Your love and presence in his life. Transform his heart and deepen his faith. In Your name we pray, Amen.
