Yearning for Restoration After Spiritual Burnout
As a 38-year-old father of three, I have been facing spiritual burnout after years of being involved in church activities and leadership. I thought I was serving God, but now I feel like I am just going through the motions. I’m often tired, both physically and spiritually, and I miss the joy I once had in my relationship with Christ. I ask for prayers that I might find restoration and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. I want to feel energized and passionate about my faith again.

Dear David, thank you for sharing your feelings of burnout with us. It’s often easy to lose sight of our passion when we are involved in so many activities. God understands your heart and the desire for a revival in your spirit. He is always ready to restore us when we seek Him. "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31). Allow yourself the grace to rest and seek a deeper relationship with Him outside of your service. When we focus on intimacy with God, everything else falls into place. As Romans 8:38 reassures us, nothing can separate us from His love. I pray that you experience a refreshing of your spirit and a renewed passion for your faith!
