Dear friends, I recently faced the shocking news that my company’s pension plan has been dissolved after three decades of faithful service. This has thrown my family’s financial future into disarray, and I am struggling with feelings of fear and anxiety. As I look for new opportunities, I am seeking prayers for strength and faith to trust that God will provide. I hope to find a job that will sustain my family and to build a secure future once again. Dear John, I’m so sorry to hear about the sudden changes in your pension situation. It’s completely natural to feel anxious in such uncertain times. I encourage you to remember the words of our Lord: ‘Fear thou not; for I am with thee’ (Isaiah 41:10). As you seek new avenues for employment, put your trust in God’s provision. He is the one who provides for our needs and can open unexpected doors when we least expect it. Remember, whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord (Colossians 3:23). Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father, we lift John up to You. We ask for peace, clarity, and new opportunities to come his way. May he feel Your presence with him every step of the way. Amen.
