Yearning for My Brother’s Salvation and Healing
I come to you to ask for prayer for my brother, Nathan. He has been struggling with alcoholism for several years now, and it has taken a heavy toll on him and our family. Every time I mention faith, he becomes defensive and dismissive, which makes it hard for me to reach out or show him the love of Jesus. I am frustrated and heartbroken, as I know that alcohol is not his true identity, and that he has so much potential. I pray that God will break through his defensiveness and reveal His love to him. Please pray for divine encounters that will lead Nathan to a place of humility and a desire for change. I believe that God can deliver him from this addiction and bring him to salvation. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Dear Jessica, thank you for your honest and heartfelt request concerning your brother Nathan. Your love for him shines through, and it’s essential to remember how God works in His own perfect timing. In Romans 3:23, we are reminded that 'For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.' Nathan’s struggle is not unique, and God’s grace is more than enough to cover him. I encourage you to keep praying and to trust that the seeds of truth you plant will grow in time. As you continue to show him love and kindness, he may be more open to conversations about faith. Keep holding onto the hope that God has a plan for his life, and remember that in Luke 15:7, it says, 'I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth.' Your prayers are powerful, and God desires that Nathan comes to know Him. Let us pray together: Lord, we lift up Nathan to You, asking that You reach into his heart and bring him to a place of healing and salvation. Amen.
