A Grandmother's Worry Over Her Granddaughter's Future
As a grandmother, my heart swells with pride for my granddaughter. Yet, I find myself consumed with dread about the world she is growing up in. From the news to personal experiences, fear creeps in about the dangers she might face. I want to shield her from everything that could harm her, but I feel so powerless and overwhelmed. I often pray for her safety, but I struggle to let go of my fears. I ask for prayers that I might find peace in trusting God to watch over her and to help me support her in a loving, fearless way.

Associate Pastor, Covenant Presbyterian Church
Dear Evelyn, your love for your granddaughter shines through your words. It’s natural to feel anxious about the world around us, especially for the ones we hold dear. In moments like these, we can find comfort in 1 Peter 5:7, which tells us to cast our anxieties on Him, for He cares deeply for us. God desires to take those burdens from your heart. Remember that He is the ultimate protector, as emphasized in Psalm 55:22, where we are instructed to cast our burdens on the Lord, and He will sustain us. He is not only with your granddaughter but goes before her, preparing the way. As you pray, ask God to fill your heart with His peace, as promised in Philippians 4:7, which surpasses all understanding. I will be praying alongside you, that God will grant you both strength and a deep trust in His perfect plan.
