Overcoming Anxiety About World Events

As an international student away from home, I find myself anxious about global events that seem beyond my control. The news can be overwhelming, and I constantly worry about my family and friends back home, especially with all the unrest in various countries. It's hard to focus on my studies and enjoy my time here. I ask for prayers that I can find peace in the midst of chaos and that I can trust God to take care of my loved ones and the world around me.

Anya, it’s understandable to feel anxious about your loved ones and the events unfolding globally. Being far from home adds another layer to that anxiety. Remember, God is with you and your family, no matter the distance. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are reminded to 'be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.' This is a powerful promise that encourages us to bring our concerns to Him. Isaiah 41:10 offers reassurance, 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee.' Trust that He is at work, even in the chaos. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, I pray for Anya. Surround her with your peace and remind her that you care deeply for her and her family. Amen.
