Healing from Fear of Future
I am a retiree who has enjoyed a peaceful life, but recently I’ve found myself consumed by worries about the future of our planet. The headlines speak of disasters and political strife, which fills me with anxiety. I often find myself awake at night, troubled by what the future holds, not just for me but for my grandchildren. I need prayer to help let go of these worries and to find comfort in God's everlasting presence. I want to live each day with joy, not fear.

Robert, thank you for sharing your concerns. It is completely understandable to feel anxious about the future, especially when considering the world we live in. Remember the promise in John 14:27, where Jesus assures us, 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.' Focus on the blessings of today and how you can enjoy life now, rather than being hindered by future uncertainties. Philippians 4:7 reminds us that the peace of God 'shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.' Let us pray together: Lord, grant Robert peace and help him to find joy in each day, free from fear of the future. Amen.
